Director, Policy, Advocacy and Government Affairs Switzerland

About the role

The Director, Policy, Advocacy and Government Affairs will lead CSL’s public affairs strategy in Switzerland, ensuring alignment with commercial and site priorities. This senior position provides strategic guidance to affiliate and site leadership on government relations, policy risks, and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive public affairs, executive thought‑leadership, and patient‑access initiatives.
• Lead engagement with government officials, industry associations, patient‑advocacy groups and other key stakeholders.
• Represent CSL in industry committees and serve as the primary liaison with external partners.
• Partner with internal functions—including Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory and Communications—to align external engagement priorities.
• Produce business‑relevant policy updates for senior leaders and contribute to the Switzerland Commercial Leadership Team.
• Participate in the Bern Site Leadership Team, driving political‑level site engagement and strategic insights.
• Manage relationships with patient‑advocacy groups and coordinate corporate communications strategies.

Required profile

• Graduate or professional degree in law, public health, international relations, political science or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare policy, public affairs, market access or a comparable area within Switzerland.
• Proven track record designing and leading initiatives that build company profile with national and local healthcare stakeholders.
• Strong experience collaborating across matrixed organisations to achieve shared goals.
