Disease Area Lead – Immunology

About the role

Novartis is seeking a Disease Area Lead for Immunology to drive commercial success of its immunology portfolio across Europe. This senior regional leadership position blends strategy and execution, partnering with country commercial teams, Medical, Value & Access and other functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of the Immunology disease area strategy across Europe, aligning global direction with local implementation.
• Drive regional performance through market insight, growth opportunity identification and high‑impact actions.
• Ensure brand strategies are integrated into country business plans to maximize execution excellence.
• Partner with country teams on portfolio performance and prepare markets for future innovations.
• Lead launch readiness planning and execution, delivering pre‑launch and post‑launch milestones.
• Promote commercial excellence using data‑driven decision making, customer segmentation and omnichannel effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing or related field.
• Significant pharmaceutical commercial experience with proven leadership at country level.
• Track record of developing and executing brand strategies that deliver measurable business impact.
• Experience leading product launches and lifecycle management in complex healthcare environments.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English communication.
