EHS Process Safety Manager

About the role

Cilag AG, the international development and production company of the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson with more than 1,600 employees in Schaffhausen, is strengthening its Environmental Health & Safety department and is looking for a Process Safety Manager (m/f/d) for its Schaffhausen location. This is an open-ended position with a 100% workload.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, control and maintain process safety management programmes in line with Swiss occupational safety law (EKAS Directive) and Johnson & Johnson standards
• Manage the risk register, oxygen-depleting hazard (ODH) programme and the inventory of pressurised systems with risk analysis
• Act as SME for PSM aspects and for EHS matters within the API/SM business unit, and liaise with authorities such as SUVA
• Create, implement and update risk management work and training documents, and plan HAZOP/PHA/DHA risk analyses
• Serve as lead auditor in the J&J global EHS audit process and act as Process Safety Management (PSM) owner of the IOSS programme, including MA training and coordination of company goals
• Coordinate the site PSM core team, track the PSM Excellence programme and prepare, run and follow up audits and assessments

Required profile

• Chemical engineer with training in occupational safety and health
• At least 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in PSM
• Strong teamwork, communication and coordination skills, and a thorough, structured and decisive way of working
• Good spoken and written German and English
