Electrical Engineer – Mission‑Critical Projects

About the role

The client is a leading engineering and construction firm delivering high‑value projects in data centres, advanced technology and life sciences. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to own the electrical package from design through handover on mission‑critical programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the electrical systems package throughout the project lifecycle, including design coordination, procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and subcontractors; handle RFIs, technical queries and BIM activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality assurance requirements and safety standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, subcontractor performance, material deliveries and progress reporting.
• Prepare tender packages, support commissioning, validation and project hand‑over, and manage snagging and close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with a recognised mechanical or electrical contractor.
• Strong organisational, project planning and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD/BIM processes.
• Familiarity with Primavera or other project planning software.
• Knowledge of modularisation or off‑site fabrication (advantageous).
• IT literacy and competence with engineering software tools.
