Embedded Software Engineer (80-100%) – Zurich

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a high‑performance engineering team in the banking and fintech sector. The role focuses on designing and building low‑latency, mission‑critical software that works closely with hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance embedded software for low‑latency systems.
• Collaborate with hardware‑focused teams throughout the full software lifecycle, from architecture to optimisation and delivery.
• Maintain and improve Linux‑based platforms, including kernel and driver components where needed.
• Perform performance tuning, profiling and debugging to meet strict latency targets.
• Participate in agile development processes and code reviews.

Required profile

• Strong passion for low‑latency systems and embedded development.
• Experience with Linux, networking (TCP/IP, UDP) and socket programming.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
• Good understanding of system architecture (CPU, memory, cache).
