Engineering Manager

About the role

Medtronic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Equipment Development Engineering function in Lausanne. The role bridges R&D and Operations, delivering robust, cost‑effective manufacturing solutions from concept to high‑volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing multidisciplinary engineering team, aligning priorities with site and global strategies.
• Partner with R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Global Engineering to accelerate product launches and manufacturing readiness.
• Drive development and deployment of advanced manufacturing equipment and automation solutions, ensuring design, qualification, validation and transfer to production.
• Oversee manufacturing process development for new products and technology platforms, providing technical leadership for industrialization and transfers.
• Champion continuous improvement, governance and execution rigor for engineering projects.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Manufacturing, Industrial or related engineering field.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in medical devices or high‑volume industries.
• At least 5 years of people‑leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record in product industrialization, process development, manufacturing engineering or automation.
