Engineering Manager – Software Mission Control

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the software team that builds the Mission Control subsystem for our humanoid robots. The role combines hands‑on development in C++ and Python with people‑management, ensuring the team delivers reliable, production‑ready software.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a high‑performing team of software engineers.
• Contribute directly to design and implementation (C++/Python) while guiding the team.
• Define technical direction together with the Tech Lead and align architecture.
• Translate product and system needs into clear objectives, milestones and delivery plans.
• Own engineering fundamentals: hiring, onboarding, 1:1s, performance reviews and culture.
• Ensure high quality through code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Remove obstacles and resolve cross‑system issues in collaboration with robotics, QA and product teams.

Required profile

• Proven line‑management experience with coaching, feedback and career development.
• Strong hands‑on software engineering background on Linux, using C++ and/or Python.
• Experience designing and shipping complex, distributed or real‑time systems with fault tolerance.
• Ability to lead through influence, facilitate technical discussions and align stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of software quality practices such as code reviews, testing and CI.
