Engineering Team Lead - Brand Fundamentals

About the role

Frontify is looking for an Engineering Team Lead to head the Brand Fundamentals squad. You will own the technical direction of a SaaS product that powers brand consistency for global marketers, working either remotely from anywhere in Switzerland or on‑site in St. Gallen.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a cross‑functional software development team, mentoring engineers and fostering high performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to define product vision and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Participate in hands‑on development, reviewing code and ensuring high‑quality releases.
• Architect scalable backend solutions, balance innovation with technical debt, and guide the technical roadmap.
• Plan delivery cycles, manage risks and dependencies, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience leading software development teams.
• Strong background in web‑application backend development, preferably using PHP as the primary language.
• Proven ability to design, develop and maintain large‑scale software solutions.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for technical excellence.
