English Teacher for Middle School (Secondary)

About the role

The Collège du Léman is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join its Middle School (Secondaire) programme starting mid‑August 2026. The successful candidate will teach English to secondary students, support their learning journey and may also serve as a homeroom advisor.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the school’s mission and RISE values, fostering a caring and inclusive environment for day and boarding students.
• Engage and motivate learners of diverse abilities, including those for whom English is a second language.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence across the grade level.
• Assess student progress, record grades in the online grade book and produce timely school reports.
• Utilise and develop existing resources to deliver effective English lessons.
• Participate in additional duties as assigned, including potential homeroom advisory responsibilities.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification in English; a Master’s degree in pedagogy is preferred.
• Proven experience teaching middle‑school English in an international school setting, with ability to support students with diagnosed learning differences.
• Native‑level English proficiency and strong organisational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to child‑protection guidelines, diversity, inclusion and professional conduct.
