Environmental Health & Safety Regional Manager – Eastern US (Remote)

About the role

Mittera is seeking a strategic Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Regional Manager to lead safety initiatives across its Eastern U.S. operations. This fully remote position will influence safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and oversee safety programs led by EHS Coordinators.
• Ensure EHS Coordinators manage locations efficiently and align with corporate goals.
• Conduct performance evaluations, employee discipline, and terminations per policy.
• Partner with Business Units to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Align corporate and local EHS strategies to drive consistency.
• Collaborate with other regional managers to develop company‑wide safety policies.
• Lead, develop, and manage local EHS team members.
• Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and implement remediation plans.
• Facilitate environmental compliance workshops (water, waste, air, stormwater, sustainability).

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in EHS management across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Ability to develop and execute comprehensive safety programs.
• Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with senior business leaders.
