Environmental Health & Safety Specialist (Bern)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team in Bern. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, compliant workplace while fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures and programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Recommend and follow up on corrective actions to reduce hazards.
• Design and deliver safety training for diverse employee groups.
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation and ensure alignment with Swiss and EU regulations.
• Collaborate with operations, facilities and leadership to promote continuous improvement in environmental and occupational health practices.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge and practical experience in health & safety and occupational health.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in on‑site or facility‑based environments; office or hospitality experience is a plus.
