EY-G1 Classroom Assistant

About the role

The International School of Zug and Luzern (ISZL) is seeking an EY-G1 Classroom Assistant to support the early years‑grade 1 classroom. Working closely with the classroom teacher, you will help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for a diverse group of young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering daily lessons and activities.
• Support transitions, specialist subjects, outdoor learning, and lunchtimes.
• Document and personalise learning experiences using school technology.
• Participate in after‑school activities, sports programmes, and staff meetings.
• Help assess and record student progress under teacher guidance.

Required profile

• Swiss or EU passport/valid Swiss work permit (or approved work visa).
• High level of self‑management, flexibility, and responsiveness to children.
• Experience working with young children and knowledge of child development.
• Fluent German is desired.

Required skills

• Proficiency with classroom technology and software for documentation.
