Finance Manager / Accountant – Automated Accounting Product

About the role

Future Kitchens is the operating system for virtual food brands, connecting brands such as SmashClub and KNOCKOUT with partner restaurants across Switzerland. As Finance Manager / Accountant you will run the full finance function of Future Kitchens AG, including the automated accounting infrastructure used by its 55+ partner restaurants. You report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Growth and Operations teams. The office is in Zurich.

Key responsibilities

• Run the books: accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, VAT filings under Swiss OR requirements.
• Prepare weekly payouts for 55+ partner restaurants, reconciling platform revenue (Just Eat, Uber Eats, Wolt) and applying commercial terms.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for management, the board and investors.
• Build financial dashboards showing revenue, margins, payouts and store-level performance.
• Design and roll out an automated accounting service for partners: payout reconciliation, revenue reporting and clean books.
• Run monthly payroll for internal staff, including AHV/IV/EO, ALV, BVG, accident insurance and withholding tax.

Required profile

• Completed commercial or finance education (Fachausweis Finanz- und Rechnungswesen, ideally on the path to expert level, or equivalent).
• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in Switzerland, ideally in a high-transaction-volume environment (gastronomy, retail, e-commerce, marketplaces).
• Fluent German and professional English.
• Precise under deadline pressure.

Required skills

• Solid command of Swiss accounting standards (OR), Swiss VAT and Swiss payroll including social insurance.
• Modern accounting software such as Bexio, Abacus or similar, with integrations and automation platforms.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; BI or dashboard tools are a strong plus.
• Nice to have: delivery platform reporting (Just Eat, Uber Eats, Wolt), building finance processes from scratch in a startup, and exposure to AI-assisted workflows and no-code automation (Make, Zapier).
