Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial management, controlling and reporting processes of an innovative engineering company. The role ensures timely and accurate management reporting to both the Group and the Business Unit, adhering to established deadlines and reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing and reporting cycles.
• Provide operational reporting to the Business Unit and statutory consolidation reporting to the Group.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records prepared by the Accountant/Bookkeeper.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Prepare and present monthly management reports, variance analyses and KPI dashboards.
• Monitor financial and operational performance, identifying risks, opportunities and improvement actions.
• Act as a trusted business partner to the President and Management Team, supporting commercial decisions with financial analysis.
• Contribute to customer proposals, pricing, contract evaluation and profitability assessments.
• Maintain the local internal control framework and ensure proper segregation of duties across accounting, approval, payment and reporting functions.

Required profile

• Higher education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Several years of experience in finance, controlling, accounting or auditing, preferably within manufacturing or industry.
• Strong analytical abilities and business‑partnering skills to support commercial and operational decisions.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of Swiss statutory accounting, tax and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
• Demonstrated capability to improve financial processes, reporting and controls in a growing organization.
