Financial Accountant

About the role

Our Accounting Department at Glencore’s headquarters in Baar, Switzerland is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the team. The role involves maintaining the books of multiple group entities, preparing statutory statements and supporting the monthly consolidation process. You will work closely with internal and external partners across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the books of numerous group companies in various jurisdictions according to IFRS and provide a monthly reporting pack to Consolidation.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in line with each jurisdiction’s requirements.
• Execute monthly intercompany reconciliations arising from transactions between Group legal entities.
• Liaise with counterparts worldwide and internal departments such as Legal, Tax and Consolidation.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of IFRS (Swiss GAAP preferred).
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA Fi/Co.
• Experience using Analysis for Office (AfO).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
