Financial Accounting Manager

About the role

The Financial Accounting Manager will report to the VP of Business Operations and Finance and will lead accounting, reporting and compliance for operations in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. This senior position requires independent work in a global, matrixed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and coordinate period‑end close activities.
• Oversee statutory financial statements, regulatory filings and compliance with local accounting standards.
• Provide oversight of shared‑services and external accounting providers, monitor service delivery and drive process improvements.
• Lead internal and external audit coordination and maintain robust internal control processes.
• Partner with operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and long‑range planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional designation such as CPA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• Minimum 5 years of senior accounting, controllership or financial reporting experience, preferably in a multinational matrix organization.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English, Swiss German and German.

• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
