Financial Controller (Swiss CPA) – Geneva

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Financial Controller with a Swiss CPA qualification to join our multinational trading company in Geneva. The role offers the chance to move from an audit environment into a dynamic corporate finance setting, working within a flat hierarchy and a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Group Co‑Controller in reviewing and monitoring key financial movements for accurate Group financial statements.
• Prepare specific areas of Group financial statements under IFRS, including disclosure notes.
• Stay updated on technical accounting principles, implement new policies and procedures as needed.
• Analyze Group balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Participate in monthly and year‑end closings and support annual audits.
• Review standalone financial statements (IFRS/Swiss CO/other).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Group processes for timely and accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with Geneva and international team members.
• Assist in ad‑hoc reporting and analysis requested by senior management.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Required profile

• Swiss CPA qualification (mandatory).
• Several years of experience in accounting, auditing, controlling or consolidation, preferably within a Big 4 firm.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines during closing and reporting periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
