Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the role

A globally distributed technology organization at the forefront of open-source software, cloud infrastructure and enterprise innovation is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager based in Switzerland. The role leads regional financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and corporate performance analysis, supports strategic decision-making and prepares for a potential IPO. It is a remote position, open to candidates in the Americas or EMEA time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning and forecasting, including budgeting, financial forecasting and long-range planning aligned with business priorities.
• Deliver executive reporting: dashboards, management reports, Board presentations and monthly financial results.
• Analyze monthly results, leading indicators and KPIs, identify variances and recommend actions to support the annual plan.
• Evaluate growth opportunities, set commercial targets and assess strategic initiatives.
• Maintain and improve financial models, analytical frameworks, reporting methods and business intelligence tools.
• Work with Product Managers, Accounting and Investor Relations on month-end close, reviews and reporting.
• Improve financial controls, data quality and reporting efficiency.
• Contribute to IPO-related public financial documents, investor materials and regulatory filings.
• Lead and develop a regional team of financial analysts.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and performance reporting; FP&A subject matter expert experience is an advantage.
• Experience in a high-growth technology or software business across multiple countries and currencies, ideally with a mix of go-to-market models.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, month-end close and variance analysis.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to present to senior executives.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to four times per year for gatherings of one to two weeks.
• An MBA, professional certification or equivalent education and experience is beneficial.
