Forensic Delegate

About the role

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) seeks a Forensic Delegate to provide expert forensic guidance and to design and manage capacity‑building programmes in conflict‑affected settings. The role focuses on advising, training and supporting local forensic institutions rather than performing hands‑on forensic analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the provision of forensic expertise in line with current scientific standards and ICRC data‑protection policies.
• Assess local forensic capacity and infrastructure, delivering recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with local authorities, forensic institutions and Red Cross/Red Crescent societies.
• Design and deliver comprehensive training programmes on forensic practice.
• Support programme management, including financial, logistical and human‑resource aspects.

Required profile
