Forensic Technology and eDiscovery Consultant

About the role

EY's Forensic Technology and eDiscovery team investigates high-profile financial crime matters such as fraud, corruption, money laundering and misconduct, and supports the enforcement of regulatory requirements. The team works with large sets of communications, documents and records from many information systems, combining investigation expertise with forensic, eDiscovery and AI technology. The growing Forensic department is looking for consultants to support investigators, clients, legal counsel and regulators in fact-finding, using tools such as Generative AI, natural language processing, machine learning, predictive coding, social network analysis and automation.

Key responsibilities

• In engagement teams, carry out reactive and proactive data analysis of large volumes of unstructured and structured data.
• Work with clients, fraud investigators, auditors, lawyers and regulatory authorities in sensitive and sometimes adversarial situations.
• Use the dedicated Forensic Technology and eDiscovery lab and secure platform to help clients uncover facts.
• Develop new solutions to meet current and future client needs.
• Support the leadership team and project manager operationally and coach more junior team members.

Required profile

• Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or another technical major.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical and interpersonal skills.
• Consulting-oriented mindset, flexibility and a "can-do" approach.
• Excellent written and verbal English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Ideally solid programming skills in Python, R, SQL or other languages.
• Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure and security.
• Experience with Relativity, Nuix and other forensic and eDiscovery tools.
• Experience using Generative AI and engineering prompts.
