Freelance IT Project Manager (PMO) – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced freelance IT PMO to lead a six‑month transformation project for a leading industrial company in Zurich. Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for reorganising the IT function, structuring workstreams and ensuring successful delivery against a defined project plan.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the new IT organisational structure.
• Define, coordinate and monitor workstreams across the IT landscape.
• Manage senior stakeholders and maintain clear communication throughout the project.
• Track progress, mitigate risks and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in IT PMO or large‑scale transformation delivery.
• Background in a Big 4, MBB consultancy or Accenture at Senior Associate to Manager level.
• Broad understanding of IT technologies and landscapes.
• Strong executive presence with proven senior stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent German (essential) and able to work on‑site in Zurich.
• Immediate availability for a six‑month contract.
