Freelance IT Support Engineer

About the role

You will join the on‑site IT team at a high‑end luxury textile production site, providing Level 2 support to both production and office staff. The position is fully onsite and requires close collaboration with the IT Manager and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 troubleshooting for workstations, peripherals, and manufacturing‑specific IT tools.
• Maintain a secure fleet of machines, keep inventory up to date, and manage configurations, lifecycle, and installed applications.
• Administer user profiles and access rights according to standards.
• Configure IT equipment for new projects and train new employees on IT tools.
• Define tools, methods, and standards together with the IT Manager and coordinate external support teams.

Required profile

• Degree in IT (CFC), IT Technician diploma (ES) or equivalent.
• Approximately 3 years of experience as an IT Technician/User Support Specialist in a large international company.
• Strong knowledge of Windows workstation environments.
• Experience with mobile device management using Workspace ONE.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented, autonomous and able to work in an agile, multi‑topic environment.
