Full-Stack Software Engineer – PLM Platform

About the role

Join CERN's Information Management group as a Full‑Stack Software Engineer, contributing to the modernisation of the PLM platform that supports thousands of engineers across the accelerator complex.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Java or .NET.
• Build modern web applications with React, Electron and TypeScript.
• Integrate 3D visualisation, virtual and augmented reality viewers.
• Perform code reviews, testing, delivery and ongoing support.
• Conduct data analysis and migrations for large engineering datasets.
• Participate in the delivery of engineering Digital Twins for CERN installations.

Required profile

• Experience (up to 2 years) in large‑scale software projects with Java EE or .NET.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices in a collaborative team.
• Fluent written and spoken English and willingness to learn French.
• Eligibility: national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State, holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with no prior CERN contract.

• Fixed‑term contract of 24 months, extendable up to 36 months.
