Global Head of Climate Resilience

About the role

Are you passionate about helping customers become more resilient to climate risks and shaping Zurich’s global climate resilience agenda? Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) is Zurich’s dedicated commercial risk engineering and risk advisory business.

Key responsibilities

• Own ZRS’s global climate resilience advisory proposition, ensuring it is relevant, differentiated and aligned with Zurich’s sustainability ambitions and customer needs.
• Lead Zurich’s thought leadership agenda on climate resilience, including external publications, customer engagements, conference participation and industry partnerships.
• Lead a team of technical Climate Resilience professionals who develop and enhance climate‑related risk solutions such as analytics, advisory services, tools and methodologies.
• Oversee customer‑facing advisory teams operating across multiple countries and regions.
• Drive business development across markets by embedding climate resilience solutions into propositions, customer conversations and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and stakeholder expectations, translating insights into actionable initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sustainability, Group Risk, Underwriting and other stakeholders to integrate climate resilience into Zurich’s broader sustainability strategy.
• Provide strategic guidance and coaching to regional and local teams on climate resilience topics to build capabilities and ensure consistent delivery.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in climate risk, sustainability, risk advisory or consulting, with exposure to clients across many sectors.
• Strong expertise in physical and/or transition climate risks and their implications for businesses, infrastructure and communities.
• Expertise in risk engineering and underwriting.
• Proven track record in developing and delivering advisory propositions in a complex, international environment.
• Demonstrated commercial success in building or growing a business.
• Ability to translate technical climate and risk concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across functions and geographies.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution capability, comfortable moving from concept development to implementation.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
