Global Procurement Manager – Strategic Direct Materials

About the role

We are seeking a Global Procurement Manager to own strategic direct‑material categories for a leading international manufacturing business. The role is site‑based in the Landquart area and involves shaping sourcing strategies, securing supply continuity and delivering measurable cost improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead global sourcing strategies for strategic direct‑material categories.
• Manage complex supplier negotiations and commercial agreements.
• Drive cost‑reduction, benchmarking and value‑improvement initiatives.
• Design multi‑source strategies to strengthen supply security and minimise risk.
• Build and maintain relationships with international suppliers.
• Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and emerging risks.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations and technical teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in direct procurement, strategic sourcing or category management.
• Proven experience sourcing raw materials, components or engineered products.
• Track record of leading complex supplier negotiations in a performance‑driven manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage commercial risk while ensuring supply continuity.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder‑management and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Resilient, hands‑on approach with confidence to work independently.
