Global Supply Chain Process Architect – Warehousing & Regulatory Compliance

About the role

Roche is seeking a senior professional to lead the design and compliance of end‑to‑end warehousing processes worldwide. The role combines systems thinking, Lean methodology and deep regulatory knowledge to ensure secure, cost‑effective storage and distribution of healthcare products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and standardize global warehouse processes, including inbound receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting and returns.
• Partner with IT to translate physical workflows into enterprise Warehouse Management System (WMS) and automation requirements.
• Define global layout standards, material flow designs and slotting strategies for distribution centers and manufacturing warehouses.
• Ensure all internal and third‑party logistics sites comply with GDP, cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11/820, ISO 13485 and local EHS/OSHA regulations.
• Set operating standards for temperature‑controlled storage, manage excursions and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee 3PL governance, SOP frameworks, SLAs and delegation of authority controls.
• Lead Lean transformation initiatives to improve storage density, throughput and reduce errors.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive leadership in supply chain, with extensive experience in warehouse operations or logistics within pharma, diagnostics or biotech.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
• Proven ability to manage global matrix projects and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) design and implementation.
• RF and automation technologies for material handling.
• Lean methodologies (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Gemba).
• Regulatory expertise in GDP, cGMP, ISO 13485 and temperature‑controlled logistics.
