Group Consolidation & Technical Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Group Consolidation & Technical Accounting Analyst will support a European energy trading and supply group headquartered in Zug. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing group financial statements under IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual group financial statements and perform consolidation entries.
• Review intercompany reconciliations, maintain the consolidation system and reporting structures.
• Research and interpret complex accounting standards, draft technical accounting memos and advise stakeholders on accounting implications of new transactions.
• Collaborate with local finance teams, auditors and cross‑functional partners, support internal controls and contribute to ad‑hoc projects such as system enhancements and acquisitions.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or Swiss certified accountant is a plus.
• 3‑4 years of hands‑on experience in financial statement preparation, group consolidation and reporting under IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER.
• Strong analytical abilities, detail‑oriented and able to meet deadlines in a multi‑priority environment.
• Fluent written and verbal English; additional languages such as German are an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and consolidation tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER reporting standards.
