Group Head of Data & Analytics

About the role

Colosseum Dental is seeking a strategic, technically credible Group Head of Data & Analytics to own the data, analytics and reporting agenda across its 11 European markets. Reporting to the Group CIO, you will build a Data & BI Centre of Excellence that turns data into a strategic asset.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a group‑wide Data & BI strategy aligned with business objectives and country‑specific needs.
• Partner with Group Finance, Operations and Country Management to embed analytics into forecasting, budgeting and performance management.
• Lead the design, evolution and scalability of the data platform, including migration to a Databricks environment.
• Maintain metadata standards, ensure KPI integrity and champion self‑service reporting for business users.
• Hire, lead and coach a high‑performing team of 4‑6 professionals, fostering a culture of trust and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in data & analytics or business intelligence leadership, with at least 5 years hands‑on building or operating enterprise data platforms.
• Proven track record partnering with Finance and Operations to embed analytics into financial processes.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, budgets and translating technical concepts for executive stakeholders.
• Strong people‑management experience, capable of hiring and developing a high‑performing team.

Required skills

• Hands‑on fluency with modern BI and data platform tooling, specifically Databricks or equivalent enterprise‑scale stack.
• Expertise in enterprise data architecture, governance models, semantic layers and metadata standards.
• Knowledge of AI/ML techniques for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Familiarity with European data privacy regulations such as GDPR.
