Hardware Design Engineer – High‑Tech Laser Systems

About the role

Join a globally leading technology company that develops industrial laser systems at its Swiss R&D site. As a Hardware Design Engineer you will create and optimise high‑precision analog and digital circuits that drive cutting‑edge laser equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise, develop, simulate and verify sophisticated analog and digital circuits for laser systems.
• Design electronic modules for power supplies and intelligent control of laser beam sources and peripherals.
• Design, assemble, commission and test EMC‑compliant printed circuit boards.
• Analyse existing circuits and continuously improve performance.
• Produce technical specifications for mass production, maintain development documentation and guide products to production readiness.
• Assemble, commission and qualify functional prototypes and sample units.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Microtechnology, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in electronic circuit and embedded‑system development.
• Fluent German (C2) and good English (B2) communication skills.
