Hardware Integration Engineer

About the role

Join Sonova’s R&D team to develop and integrate hardware for advanced hearing instrument systems, ensuring high‑quality performance and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop product‑specific hearing system solutions.
• Integrate hardware sub‑systems and define electro‑acoustic transducers.
• Design and build measurement software tools and prototypes.
• Establish test limits, criteria and quality characteristics for hardware.
• Follow Sonova’s standard operating procedures and contribute to R&D planning, reviews and agile team rituals.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and reliable with strong accountability.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in distributed, diverse teams.
• Positive, solution‑oriented mindset and quality awareness.

Required skills

• Wireless technologies and design of wireless systems.
• PCB design and electronic hardware design.
• Measurement technologies and RF engineering.
• Acoustics and electro‑acoustic transducer knowledge.
• Soldering, gluing and handling of small parts for prototype construction.
