Head Client Lifecycle Integrity – Director

About the role

Swissquote is establishing a new Client Lifecycle Integrity (CLI) department to act as a 1.5 line of defence for private client relationships. The Head of Client Lifecycle Integrity will lead this department, shaping strategy, governance and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Define CLI strategy, organisation, governance and priorities, and ensure accountability across the department.
• Maintain a strong risk‑based control environment, ensuring activities are effective, consistent and compliant with legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
• Provide senior leadership on complex cases, drive escalation processes and represent CLI in senior management and governance bodies.
• Oversee private client onboarding, periodic reviews, account maintenance, dormant account processes and closures.
• Supervise AML transaction monitoring across all client segments, ensuring timely identification and escalation of suspicious activities.
• Continuously improve CLI processes through automation, digitalisation and AI‑driven optimisation, collaborating with technology functions.

Required profile

• 10+ years in a leadership role within Operations, Compliance, AML, Risk Management or similar in banking/financial services.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Proven track record in process optimisation, automation and operational excellence.
• Experience managing large, diverse teams and building high‑performing management structures.
• Native French or English speaker with full professional fluency in the other language.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in client onboarding, KYC/AML, client lifecycle management and AML transaction monitoring.
• Deep understanding of how data, technology, workflow tools and AI can enhance control effectiveness and efficiency.
• Project management or process improvement certification (e.g., PMP) is an asset.
