Head of Global Real Estate

About the role

The Head of Global Real Estate defines and executes the organization’s worldwide real estate strategy across a complex international footprint, reporting directly to the CFO and advising the Managing Board.

Key responsibilities

• Act as principal advisor to the CFO and Managing Board on real estate strategy, investments, portfolio performance and long‑term footprint planning.
• Develop and present real estate strategies aligned with organisational priorities, growth ambitions and financial objectives.
• Oversee a global portfolio valued at $100M+ across Switzerland, the United States, China, India and Japan, driving performance, utilization and cost effectiveness.
• Evaluate acquisitions, disposals, lease commitments and investment opportunities; lead negotiations for major transactions.
• Lead scenario planning for footprint evolution, considering geopolitical, economic, regulatory and workplace trends.
• Define business cases for major initiatives such as headquarters expansion, office relocations and new collaboration spaces.
• Partner with the Head of General Services to ensure strategic priorities are implemented effectively.

Required profile

• Senior executive with extensive experience in global real estate strategy and portfolio management.
• Proven track record advising C‑suite and board members on large‑scale real estate decisions.
• Strong analytical ability to assess market, financial and regulatory factors.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and major real estate projects.
