Head of Legal – Immunology & CRM Therapeutic Area (International)

About the role

We are seeking a senior legal leader to join our International headquarters in Basel and serve as the principal legal advisor for the Immunology and CRM therapeutic area. The role partners with the TA leadership, Medical Affairs, Value & Access, Development and other functions to guide legal strategy across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel on therapeutic‑area strategy, brand plans, portfolio decisions and related medical activities.
• Lead the drafting, negotiation and risk management of complex research, development and commercial contracts, as well as other agreements supporting TA activities.
• Partner with the Transactions team on business development, M&A due diligence and integration of assets and third‑party alliances.
• Collaborate with Ethics, Risk and Compliance to identify, manage and train on legal and compliance risks, ensuring adherence to government regulations.
• Participate in business leadership meetings and governance boards, advising on value‑access, investor relations, communications and patient‑advocacy initiatives.
• Oversee regulatory and promotional material review, claims management and support investigations or audit follow‑ups as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in pharmaceutical or life‑science environments.
• Proven track record of leading legal teams and providing counsel on commercial, regulatory, M&A and compliance matters.
• Strong understanding of immunology and CRM therapeutic‑area business models.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior business leaders.
