Head of Procurement Excellence

About the role

The Head of Procurement Excellence will lead the strategic development, standardisation and continuous improvement of procurement across the Zeppelin Group. The role combines purchasing strategy, governance, data‑driven decision‑making and capability building to drive efficiency, transparency and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce and continuously develop procurement systems (P2P suites, sourcing tools) and drive global roll‑out and adoption across all Group countries and SBUs.
• Develop, refine and implement procurement strategies and standards with a focus on efficiency, transparency and sustainability, including ESG‑based sourcing.
• Manage complex cross‑functional projects related to procurement strategy, governance and tool landscapes, acting as a key contact for the global procurement community.
• Define and implement a comprehensive KPI framework, establish global reporting standards and dashboards, and ensure high‑quality data collection for analytics‑based decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or equivalent.
• Extensive professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or procurement excellence.
• Proven track record in purchasing strategy, controlling or transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing cross‑functional or global projects with strong change‑management capabilities.
• Initial leadership experience preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with procurement tools and ERP systems such as SAP, Coupa, Ariba and Jaggaer.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with deep understanding of procurement processes, KPIs and governance.
• Business‑fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
