High Voltage Laboratory Tester (80-100%)

About the role

Hitachi Energy's local Product Group Insulation & Components designs and manufactures high-voltage transformer bushings, serving international power generation, transmission and distribution companies. It is looking for a laboratory tester to work 80-100% of the time in its lab, testing high-voltage components such as bushings.

Key responsibilities

• Test high-voltage components such as bushings
• Safely move test specimens using modern lifting and crane systems
• Use measuring and testing technologies to gather reliable data
• Analyse, evaluate and document results systematically
• Help develop and optimise test setups and methods
• Maintain order and safety in the lab with the 6S concept
• Follow all relevant safety regulations

Required profile

• Vocational training in the electrical field (e.g. automation technician, electronics technician, electrician)
• Strong motivation to gain practical experience in a technical or industrial environment
• Willingness to work in a 2- or 3-shift system
• Independent, structured and team-oriented
• Good written and spoken German; English is an advantage

Required skills

• IT affinity and confidence with digital systems
• Electrical vocational training
