Hospitality Architect (100%) - Basel

About the role

Oppenheim Architecture Basel, based in the Dreispitz area of Basel, is looking for a full-time Architect with 5+ years of experience in hospitality projects such as hotels, wellness centers and branded residences. The studio has about 35 colleagues from over 20 nations and works in English, with offices in Basel, Miami and Tirana. The position starts immediately or by agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Turn ideas into built reality, from first sketches to detailed construction drawings.
• Lead the creative process and translate concepts into precise architectural documentation.
• Work with consultants, contractors and clients to turn designs into tangible outcomes.
• Visit sites, study the context and explore its potential.
• Take part in client presentations and design discussions.
• Make sure every drawing, detail and specification meets the highest standards of design and quality.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Architecture.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Solid track record in planning and coordinating hospitality developments, with exposure to hotel brands and operators.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• EU/EFTA nationality is mandatory under Swiss hiring regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD and Rhino.
• Understanding of structural design, MEP, fire safety, landscape and interior design.
• Strong design sensibility, attention to detail and a keen eye for interior design.
• Visual storytelling and graphic presentation skills.
