HR Communications Officer (Volunteer)

About the role

The International Council of Peace and Security (ICPS) is seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented HR Communications Officer to support its Human Resources communications function. This volunteer position lasts 12 months with a possible extension and focuses on ensuring clear, consistent internal and external HR messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and draft HR‑related communications for internal staff and external stakeholders.
• Support the recruitment process by managing candidate communications, sending interview invitations, and responding to inquiries.
• Collaborate with the Human Resources Communications Manager to maintain brand‑aligned messaging across all channels.
• Assist in preparing HR newsletters, policy updates, and promotional materials.
• Maintain communication calendars and ensure timely distribution of information.

Required profile

• Strong written communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple communication streams.
• Interest in international NGOs and peace‑building initiatives.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, remote team.
