Individual Tax Senior Manager / Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Individual Tax Senior Manager or Counsel to join a respected independent tax advisory firm in Zug. The role involves providing high‑level tax advice to ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs, families, and family‑owned businesses across complex Swiss and international tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs and international families on wealth planning, succession and tax optimisation.
• Support clients with trusts, foundations and cross‑border structures.
• Provide tax guidance for family‑owned businesses and their shareholders.
• Handle global mobility, expatriate taxation and cross‑border employment issues.
• Advise on employee participation plans, incentive schemes and executive compensation structures.
• Prepare tax rulings and liaise directly with Swiss tax authorities.
• Build trusted relationships and act as a key advisor on complex tax issues.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in Swiss tax advisory, preferably with private‑client exposure.
• Strong expertise advising wealthy individuals, entrepreneurs and family‑owned businesses.
• Experience in global mobility, employment tax or participation plans is advantageous.
• Swiss Certified Tax Expert qualification (or equivalent).
• Fluent in German and English.
