Intern – Programme Support

About the role

The Economic Commission for Europe is seeking a motivated intern to support the UNRSF Secretariat in Geneva. Working under the Head of UNRSF, you will assist with programme administration, data handling, and communication activities over a six‑month period.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Call for Proposals process, including screening proposals, maintaining submission databases, and preparing report material.
• Support data‑visualisation tasks to help attribute impact of projects.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for UNRSF events, campaigns, and projects.
• Help manage UNRSF’s social‑media presence and related content.
• Contribute to results‑based management, project monitoring, and documentation.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Secretariat.

Required profile

• Strong ability to gather, analyse and synthesize information from diverse sources.
• Basic understanding of project and document management principles and event facilitation.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and take on new challenges.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset.
• Fluent oral and written English; French or Spanish is an asset.

Required skills

• Full proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
