International Commercial Senior Analytics Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an International Commercial Senior Analytics Engineer to lead high‑visibility data initiatives that directly support our commercial operations. Reporting to the International Commercial Data Science Manager, you will focus on delivering complex analytics projects using Google BigQuery, dbt, Looker (LookML) and Python.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end technical delivery of major commercial analytics projects, from requirement gathering to production deployment.
• Design, build, and optimise enterprise‑grade data models in Google BigQuery using dbt and advanced SQL.
• Develop and extend the Looker semantic layer with LookML, creating high‑performing dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
• Partner with commercial teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Act as technical owner for platform upgrades, migrations and architectural changes, ensuring seamless transitions.
• Perform proactive maintenance of BigQuery models, dbt projects and Looker environments to maintain performance, data quality and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with query optimisation, schema management and data modelling in BigQuery.
• Deep expertise in dbt and advanced SQL modelling.
• Proven track record building and managing Looker semantic models with LookML.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Ability to manage multiple high‑visibility projects simultaneously while maintaining code quality.
• Solid foundation in data architecture and experience leading technical migrations and platform refactoring.
• Effective collaboration with commercial teams, providing practical technical guidance.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
