International Conference Support and Resource Mobilization Intern

About the role

This six‑month internship supports the preparation and delivery of the 1st International Conference organised by UNEP. Working from the Geneva office, the intern will assist the Programme Management Officer(s) with conference logistics, stakeholder outreach and resource‑mobilisation material development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning meetings, timelines and follow‑up actions for the International Conference.
• Prepare briefing notes, background documents, participant lists, presentations and information packages for internal and external audiences.
• Maintain contact lists, draft outreach messages and support communication with Member States, UN entities, NGOs and other partners.
• Coordinate logistical arrangements for virtual and in‑person meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, note‑taking and technical support.
• Develop banners, newsletters and other communication products for the GFC Secretariat, the Fund and the Special Programme.
• Create pitch decks and other materials to support resource‑mobilisation efforts and private‑sector engagement.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme, or be in the final year of a bachelor’s programme (or equivalent).
• Fluency in written and spoken English; French is an asset.
• Strong organisational, research, analytical and report‑writing abilities.
• Familiarity with UN processes, conference management or resource‑mobilisation material development is a plus.
