International Senior Consultant: ESG and Value Chain Due Diligence

About the role

The International Trade Centre seeks a senior consultant to lead ESG and value‑chain due‑diligence initiatives across multiple regions. Working remotely, you will provide expert technical inputs, coaching, and capacity‑building support to cooperatives and SMEs in Africa and Latin America, helping them implement responsible business practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert technical inputs and coaching to ~15 cooperatives/SMEs in Uganda, Honduras, DRC, Ghana, and Ethiopia on due‑diligence systems, living incomes and environmental impact.
• Develop cohort‑level summary reports and present assessment results for ASEAN SCOPE Trade cohorts.
• Curate capacity‑building resources and design training sessions for RBC Africa cohorts.
• Produce due‑diligence framework concept notes for selected value chains under the ASEAN Scope project.
• Participate in coordination meetings, provide technical back‑stopping for all companies and cohorts, and report on progress.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in ESG, sustainable trade and value‑chain due‑diligence.
• Proven track record of coaching cooperatives or SMEs in developing‑country contexts.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with ability to synthesize assessment results.
• Familiarity with responsible business conduct approaches and capacity‑building methodologies.
