IT Category Manager

About the role

The IT Category Manager will lead the end‑to‑end procurement strategy for all IT spend at IBSA, covering software, hardware and consultancy services. The role focuses on a Total Cost of Ownership approach, ensuring long‑term value, risk mitigation and alignment with the company’s digital transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive IT category strategy for software licences, SaaS, ERP, hardware, network and managed services, in close collaboration with the Enterprise Technology & Transformation function.
• Lead competitive tender processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP), negotiate contracts, SLAs and pricing structures with a focus on total cost of ownership, including implementation, integration, maintenance and exit costs.
• Maintain supplier segmentation, risk registers and monitor performance against KPIs, driving corrective actions and alternative sourcing where needed.
• Act as the primary procurement business partner for ET&T, providing spend transparency, market intelligence and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in IT category management within a multinational environment.
• Proven track record managing complex IT contracts and strong commercial negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of SaaS, ERP and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and major enterprise ecosystems such as SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft 365, Oracle, Salesforce and ServiceNow.
• Experience with identity management, EDR and SIEM solutions and related security contractual clauses.
• Familiarity with P2P and e‑procurement tools; Jaggaer is a plus.
