IT Support Specialist – 1st/2nd Level Support (German/English)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide first and second‑level support for our international client in Zürich. The role involves both on‑site and remote assistance, handling hardware, software and user inquiries in German and English.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st and 2nd level IT support to end‑users, including VIP users, via phone, email and on‑site visits.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve incidents using the internal service‑desk ticketing system.
• Install, configure, maintain and repair IT equipment such as laptops, desktops, printers, copiers, scanners, projectors, and mobile devices.
• Perform OS and application installations, updates and troubleshooting for Windows 7/10, Microsoft Office and Google Mail.
• Manage user accounts, provisioning, de‑provisioning and moves in Active Directory.
• Maintain hardware inventory, third‑party order processes and local IT system documentation.
• Collaborate with regional and global IT support teams and provide basic user training.
• Apply information‑security policies to ensure data confidentiality.

Required profile

• Degree or certified training in IT.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar support role, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, resilience and self‑motivation.
