Java Architect – Banking Sector (Geneva)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Java Architect to join a leading banking client in Geneva on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role involves owning the architecture of critical software components, ensuring high‑quality code, and driving modern design practices within a fast‑paced financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Java architecture at component and system level.
• Develop and review code using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and SQL.
• Design and implement micro‑services, REST APIs, and modular solutions.
• Apply design patterns, SOLID principles, TDD, and clean‑code standards.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to provide L3 support and ensure smooth deployment pipelines.
• Participate in technical discussions with business stakeholders and contribute to architectural road‑maps.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience in Java development and architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in French and English.
• Legal right to work in Switzerland (Swiss/EU nationality or valid B/C permit).
• Immediate availability; candidates with a three‑month notice period are not considered.
