Junior Communications Assistant

About the role

Art Basel is seeking a Junior Communications Assistant to support its global communications operation across its flagship shows in Basel, Miami Beach, Hong Kong, Paris and Qatar. The role will work within an international team, assisting the press office and contributing to communications campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Support the day‑to‑day running of the global press office, maintaining administrative systems, databases and internal processes.
• Act as the first point of contact for media enquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
• Coordinate distribution of press materials, manage digital press kits and online media platforms.
• Monitor and compile media coverage, assisting in the production of press reports and insights.
• Lead press accreditation processes for Art Basel shows and events.
• Draft and edit communications materials such as press releases, media updates, website content and internal communications.
• Assist in preparing briefing materials and supporting content for media and stakeholder engagement.
• Contribute to the maintenance of Art Basel’s digital platforms, including website updates.
• Support planning and delivery of press events, including press conferences and media briefings.
