Junior Compliance Specialist – Conduct Framework

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for a Junior Compliance Specialist to join its Employee Compliance Team within Central Compliance in Zurich. The team is responsible for the Conduct Framework, monitoring and promoting effective governance and ensuring the highest standards of compliance across operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support due diligence and conduct oversight by reviewing, checking documentation and verifying compliance with internal policies and procedures
• Help prepare clear reports, dashboards and summaries using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Tableau, and share findings with Compliance and business teams
• Analyse client and operational data to spot potential risks, trends or areas needing review or escalation
• Work with colleagues across levels and teams to gather information and coordinate compliance efforts
• Maintain and improve standardised workflows, templates and tracking tools
• Stay up to date on compliance topics, regulatory changes and conduct-risk policy updates
• Propose improvements to processes, controls and ways of working, including automation opportunities

Required profile

• Academic background in Banking, Financial Law, Business Administration or a related field
• Solid understanding of banking operations, gained through experience in private banking, compliance or audit in financial services
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German and other languages are an advantage
• Natural collaborator who thrives in a matrixed environment, eager to learn and take initiative

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, Power Query and data analysis
• PowerPoint, with the ability to turn complex information into clear slides and summaries
• Tableau and Power BI highly desirable
• Experience in reporting, process coordination or compliance support roles highly desirable
