Junior Data Analyst – Medical Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join a major international organisation’s medical team in the Canton of Vaud. The role supports the development and operation of a new digital platform that centralises and improves the reliability of medical injury data, enabling better reporting and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support data collection and monitor data flows for the medical platform.
• Perform regular validation, cleaning and consistency checks on incoming datasets.
• Identify and flag missing, inconsistent, incomplete or implausible records.
• Collaborate with colleagues and data contributors to resolve anomalies.
• Document field definitions, coding rules, procedures and data‑entry standards.
• Prepare clean, usable datasets for senior medical staff.
• Assist in functional testing of the platform, focusing on data entry, validation logic and output quality.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data‑management and data‑quality processes.
• Promote a culture of rigour, quality and responsibility around medical data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, epidemiology, data science, biostatistics or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy and musculoskeletal injuries.
• Strong interest in data quality, validity and structuring.
• Organised, reliable and meticulous with a high attention to detail.
• Good communication skills for follow‑up on data issues.
• Motivation to work in a medical environment and contribute to a digital platform.
• Initial experience gained through studies, internships, student jobs or early professional work.
