Junior Design Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Design Engineer you will support the technical development of Integrated Thermal Management Systems (ITMS) modules, working from early customer engagement through to project execution. You will operate in an ASPICE‑compliant environment, gaining hands‑on experience with JE production technologies and mentorship from senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Support design, development, and modification of ITMS modules following JEI standards and change‑management processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment across development activities.
• Translate R&D inputs into technical solutions using CAD/CAE/CFD tools.
• Prepare technical and project documentation under senior guidance.
• Collect, document, and analyse data from prototype testing.
• Participate in customer meetings during development and product care phases.
• Apply quality system procedures and assist in root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1+ year of relevant experience or internship exposure, preferably in automotive; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Basic understanding of design and engineering procedures, modern manufacturing technologies, and hydraulics.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with willingness to develop relationship skills.
• Proficiency in French or German and good knowledge of English.

Required skills

• Unigraphics NX (or similar 3D engineering tool).
• CAD, CAE, and CFD software.
• ASPICE‑based system engineering knowledge.
