Junior Private Equity Investment Professional

About the role

Julius Baer, a leading global private bank, is hiring a Junior Private Equity Investment Professional (100%) for its Private Markets Investment team in Zurich. The role focuses on evaluating and executing private equity buyout co-investments alongside general partners worldwide, with active involvement from reviewing opportunities and due diligence through execution and portfolio monitoring. It suits a motivated investment professional with 1-5 years of experience and a strong academic background.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and screen private equity buyout co-investment opportunities alongside financial sponsors
• Perform detailed financial analysis, including valuation analysis and LBO modelling
• Review commercial, financial, legal and tax due diligence materials and identify key risks and value creation opportunities
• Prepare investment committee presentations and present findings to internal investment committees
• Support deal execution from initial screening through closing, including review of transaction structures, financing arrangements and legal documentation
• Coordinate transaction processes with internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor existing investments through financial analysis and regular portfolio reviews
• Assist with special projects on an as-needed basis

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field with strong academic credentials
• 1-5 years of relevant experience; first experience in private equity, structured finance, M&A, transaction services, valuation advisory or a similar corporate finance role is particularly relevant
• Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus
